I am grateful for all the wonderful blessings throughout my life. I try not to
take for granted things like fresh water, medicine, a safe place to live, a car,
my health, family, friends, and an all around great life.
I don’t have to look far to find people who are not so fortunate. I found a way
to give something meaningful.
I recently started a project that is very dear to me. I started volunteering my
time to teach the principles in the Secret to the homeless. This is, by far, the
most rewarding thing I have ever done.
Although poverty is one of the root causes of homelessness, limiting beliefs,
fear, and lack of awareness of one’s thoughts are strong factors in keeping
people in their current circumstances.
Millions of people around the world are being inspired to change their lives and
some are making quantum leaps after watching the Secret. Homeless people do not
have televisions or DVD’s to see the film so they have no way of accessing this
valuable information that could literally change their lives.
I show the entire film, discuss ways they can incorporate the principles in
their lives immediately, then I take magazines, poster board, tape, and scissors
to help each participant create a vision board so they can learn to visualize
and attract a safe place to live, a job, a car, a relationship, or whatever is
important to them. Seeing the hope on their faces…priceless.

past or their present condition, can live a life of happiness, with clarity of mind,
and inner peace.”
Everything in life depends on how you focus your mind. When people learn to
identify and eliminate limiting beliefs, focus on what they want rather than
what they don’t want and learn to take the right action, their lives can be
changed at depth.

Teens today spend over $172 billion a year, yet many teens do not know how to
manage their money wisely. During adolescence, teens are forming habits that
will last them a lifetime. It is imperative that teenagers develop positive
finance habits while they are young.
I volunteer my time to teach a six-unit educational program developed to
educate U.S. high school students in the fundamentals of sound money management
and the basic concepts of financial planning and personal financial
responsibility.
The program was developed by the National Endowment for Financial
Education® (NEFE®) and is provided without charge as a public service.
The program seeks to increase the financial literacy of the nation’s youth,
empowering them to make positive and sound decisions to reach their financial
goals.
